consists of Danny Milliner (bass), Scotty Hawkins (drums), Dwain Rowe (keyboards), Jimmy Stewart (fiddle, dobro), Charlie Crowe (electric guitar), and Tony King (guitar). Currently they back Brooks & Dunn when they aren't playing with Clint. They've each been nominated four times for the Academy of Country Music Musician of the Year while playing for the ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year Brooks & Dunn. In 1996 they were named the Touring Band of the Year.

Since 1990,Danny Milliner has been the bandleader, bassist, and backup vocalist for Brooks and Dunn. He has performed on all major television award shows and talk shows, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Arsenio Hall Show and others. Danny was nominated for 4 years in row (1995 - 1999) by the Academy of Country Music Awards for musician of the year in the instrumentalist category. Prior to his Brooks & Dunn gig, he toured Europe and North America with Nanci Griffith as a bassist and singer, and worked with Kix Brooks during his first record project on Capitol Records. Danny's studio playing abilities are in demand by top producers and writers in Nashville, including Rafe Van Hoy, Deborah Allen, Bobby Braddock, Curly Putman, Kix Brooks, Nanci Griffith, Jann Browne, Harlan Howard, Russell Smith, and Clint Bullard. From Louisiana, he currently resides in Nashville.



Dwain Rowe has toured with Earl Thomas Conley, Steve Wariner, Restless Heart, and is currently playing keyboards with Brooks and Dunn. He was nominated Keyboard Player of the year 1996-1999 by the Academy of Country Music. He appeared briefly in, and also performed on the title track to the movie "Maverick". As a songwriter, Dwain has hit the top ten twice with "Atlanta Burned Again Last Night", and "Sweet Country Music"; both performed by the group "Atlanta".



Tony King has played acoustic and electric guitar and sung background vocals for Brooks & Dunn since 1995. He has also performed with Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Reba McEntire and his own group, Matthews, Wright and King, among others. Tony has appeared on television shows including The Tonight Show, David Letterman, Rosie O'Donnell, Donny and Marie, the ACMs, the CMAs, the Grammys, the American Music Awards, the Blockbuster Awards, Nashville Now, Music City Tonight, and Austin City Limits. As a staff background singer for two years on TNN's Prime Time Country he performed with hundreds of artists, from Willie Nelson and Mark Wills to Sam Moore and Lou Rawls. He has sung background vocals or played guitar on albums by Brooks and Dunn, Vince Gill, Holly Dunn, the Bellamy Brothers, William Lee Golden, the Judds, Keith Whitley, Vern Gosdin, Ricky Van Shelton, Regina Regina, and Matthews, Wright and King. As a songwriter, Tony has had songs recorded by Brooks and Dunn, Rhonda Vincent, Barbara Fairchild, and Ricky Van Shelton, who took his song "I've Cried My Last Tear For You" to #1 on all three charts, as well as being the #1 song of 1990 on the Billboard Chart.



Scotty Hawkins is one of the hottest drummers in country music. From his early years with legend Dottie West, to backing Reba McEntire, to his most recent stint with Brooks & Dunn, Scotty's playing has always caught the ear of country fans. His incredible "in the pocket" style has made him a standout in his field.



Jimmy Stewart defines the term "utility man". He has handled duties on fiddle, dobro and acoustic guitar for Brooks & Dunn since 1996. After moving to Nashville from music hotbed Branson, Missouri, he performed at Opryland theme park before backing David Ball and Alan Jackson on the road.



Charlie Crowe ventured to Nashville from Lexington, Kentucky in 1991 to pursue his dream of playing guitar for a living. Within a year, he was hired as lead guitarist and bandleader for then-newcomer John Michael Montgomery. By the end of '93, headliners Brooks & Dunn needed a lead guitar player and asked Crowe to audition. He landed the prestigious gig and continues to provide a "rockin' edge" to the popular duo's live shows. Since joining the band, Crowe has earned three nominations as ACM Best Guitarist and has appeared with B&D on television shows, specials, and in music videos. Crowe is also a songwriter and recently produced his own CD, Charlie's Garage.
